About Us

A Brief History

The Canadian Society of Decorative Arts/ Cercle canadien des arts décoratifs (CSDA/CCAD) is a volunteer driven, charitable organization formed in 1981 with the generous support of the McDonald Stewart Foundation.

At CSDA/CCAD we strive to create a space where collectors and enthusiasts can come together and learn from one another as we share our appreciation for the material arts in Canada. We host and promote local and national events that include online and in-person presentations, panel discussions, symposiums, and tours of private collections. Join to become a part of our community today!

How do we create objects and how do the objects we create shape us?
